Are you currently suffering with incontinence, prolapse or pelvic pain? Do you find that sex is painful? Did you have a traumatic birth and feel a sense of disconnect from your body? Or do you need support to prepare your body for pregnancy?
Women’s pelvic health is such an important and much overlooked area and I am aware that there are so many women out there suffering in silence and not knowing where to look for assistance.
Any woman in all stages of life may gain benefit from treatment but it is particularly beneficial for those looking for assistance or support for:
What does treatment involve?
Holistic Pelvic Care™ is an integrative gynaecological approach which incorporates a range of healing practices to restore balance in a woman’s pelvis. Holistic Pelvic Care™ is highly effective in helping women to reconnect with the pelvic bowl and change the imprint of a traumatic birth when used in post-partum care. It helps optimise the recruitment of the pelvic floor muscles and restore balance in the pelvis.
Prior to starting Holistic Pelvic Care™ work, I would require you to have had at least one osteopathic session with me. This will help me to get to know you better and understand whether Holistic Pelvic Care™ is the right treatment choice for you. Treatment involves a gentle intervaginal massage technique combined with restorative breathwork tools. This helps realign your pelvis physically and energetically, enhancing the flow of pelvic organ energy.
The number of treatments vary, but usually a minimum of two is required.
If you want to learn more about Holistic Pelvic Care,™ I would highly recommend reading books by Tami Lynn Kent, women’s health physical therapist and founder of Holistic Pelvic Care.™
