If you’ve had a recent or long term injury which is painful or limits the things you want to do then osteopathic treatment is a great way to get your body back on track.

Osteopathy works to both reduce pain levels and improve function. It is great for post surgery/post injury rehabilitation and helps to speed up and optimise your body’s healing process.

It is very easy to focus on the place where we feel pain and see the problem just there. Certainly it’s important to consider the site of pain however as ostoepaths we are taught the fundamental importance of considering the whole body in relation to injuries both new and old.

It is this which helps our patients optimise their rehabilitation.  We allow the body to undo patterns which may be maintaining your injury or which may predispose you to re-injury.

With an active interest in fitness myself (I currently dance, run barefoot style and do regular strength training) I am very interested in working with patients from a fitness and sporting perspective (in particular runners) and will work closely with you helping you to achieve your goals together with any coach you are working with.

"I can’t recommend Rebecca highly enough. I was involved in a road accident and struggling with lower back pain for over a year when I started to see Rebecca. Amazingly, within a handful of sessions, I feel pretty much back to normal and wish I had sought Rebecca’s help earlier. I’m not quite sure how Rebecca works her magic, but it is testimony to her years of training and dedicated practice, that she is able to achieve such fantastic and transformative results. I particularly appreciate Rebecca’s holistic, gentle and sensitive approach and feel safe and confident in her hands."

Musculoskeletal dysfunction

Musculoskeletal dysfunction is common in areas such as the back, shoulders and pelvis but can affect any part of the body. It is often the result of repetitive strain, postural problems or age-related conditions such as arthritis.  Pain or loss of function are indications of the body being out of balance.

I would recommend Osteopathic treatment to assess your posture and alignment; treatment can be extremely effective at re-balancing the system, reducing pain and improving function.

When I first began seeing Rebecca, I had many niggles in my body such as recurring pain in my lower back and frequently achy shoulders which I just accepted as the ageing process and a result of my job as a yoga teacher. From the initial session my back pain ceased and has never returned and my body increasingly feels strong, aligned and pain free as I regularly have sessions to stay in a state of balance.
